Crystals Around the Home for Good Energy

Non-Toxic Living

There’s something really special about creating a home that feels calm, grounded, and supportive—not just physically, but energetically too. Our homes hold energy. The conversations, the emotions, the routines… it all lingers in subtle ways. And one of the simplest, most beautiful ways to support a peaceful environment is by bringing crystals into your space.

Crystals have been used for centuries as natural tools for balance and intention. Whether you fully believe in their energetic properties or just love the way they look and feel, they can be a gentle, grounding addition to your home.

Let’s walk through a few of my favourites and how you can use them in a simple, intuitive way.

Clear Quartz — The Amplifier

If you’re new to crystals, clear quartz is a beautiful place to start. It’s known for amplifying energy and intention, which means it can support whatever you’re trying to bring more of into your home—peace, clarity, joy.

How to use it:

Place it in a central area like your living room or kitchen. I also love keeping a small piece near windows where natural light can hit it. Think of it as a gentle energetic reset for your space.

Amethyst — Calm & Protection

Amethyst carries a very soft, calming energy. It’s often associated with stress relief, emotional balance, and deeper rest.

How to use it:

This one is perfect for bedrooms or quiet corners. You can place it on your nightstand or even near your bath area if you like to unwind at night. It helps create a more peaceful atmosphere, especially if your mind tends to stay busy.

Rose Quartz — Love & Softness

Rose quartz brings in a nurturing, heart-centered energy. It’s all about love—not just romantic, but self-love, family connection, and warmth in the home.

How to use it:

Place rose quartz in spaces where connection happens—like the living room, bedroom, or even your child’s room. It’s a really gentle way to invite more softness into your day-to-day life.

Black Tourmaline — Grounding & Protection

This is one I recommend often, especially in today’s world where we’re surrounded by so much stimulation and environmental stress.

Black tourmaline is known for grounding energy and creating a sense of protection.

How to use it:

Place it near entryways, by your front door, or close to electronics like Wi-Fi routers or your workspace. It helps create a more stable, grounded feeling in your home.

Selenite — Cleansing & Light

Selenite has a very light, almost ethereal energy. It’s often used to cleanse other crystals and refresh the energy in a room.

How to use it:

I love placing selenite on shelves, windowsills, or near doorways. It’s also beautiful in bedrooms. You can even use a selenite wand to slowly move through your space when you feel like things need a reset.

Crystals don’t need to be complicated. You don’t need a perfect setup or a big collection. Start with what you’re drawn to. Let your home evolve naturally.

What matters most is the intention behind it.

Open the windows. Let fresh air in. Bring in plants, natural textures, and soft light. Crystals are just one piece of creating a home that feels truly nourishing.

Simple Ways to Get Started

  • Choose 1–3 crystals that you feel drawn to
  • Place them in areas you spend the most time
  • Take a moment to set a quiet intention when you place them
  • Keep your space clean and clutter-free so energy can flow

Creating a home filled with good energy doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It’s in the small, intentional choices we make every day.

Your home should feel like a place your body can exhale.

And sometimes, it’s the simplest things—like a small crystal on a windowsill—that help remind you of that.

I am a first time boy mom, wife, self-published author and wellness connoisseur, trying to live a holistic lifestyle in the very small town of Moonstone, Ontario. I started this blog to share my passion (obsession) for natural, non-toxic living. Throughout this blog you will find inspiration to live your healthiest life, tips to switch to a natural, toxic-free lifestyle, honest and transparent motherhood, birth, breastfeeding, essential oils, help with getting started with Baby Led weaning and all other things “crunchy”. From teaching yoga, to making my own products and sourdough, to trying out veganism, buying an absurd amount of crystals, and trying many alternative medicines, I have dipped my toe in many aspects of the wellness world. I have also completed many courses in Herbalism, meditation, different types of yoga and Ayurveda.

Currently, I am studying to receive my Holistic Nutritionist (specializing in children’s nutrition) diploma. After giving birth to my son, I realized just how important living a natural, healthy lifestyle was. Feeding my son healthy, homemade organic foods is one of my favourite things to do. We began baby led weaning when he was six months old and our food journey has been nothing short of wonderful. This kid will eat practically everything I offer him (except broccoli). My goal is to share our journey and offer some support to new mamas and to assist with making their babies transition to food go smoothly. I also want to help mamas take care of themselves by supporting them with holistic nutrition consulting and meal planning. Mama’s health is just as important as babies, we must set a good example for our children by being the absolute best version of ourselves, they are always watching!

I look forward to meeting you and helping you start your holistic journey.

Hey, I'm Jamie, The founder behind Moonstone Mommy!
